Radivelo is a personal internet radio player for macOS, Windows, iPhone (with CarPlay), Apple TV and Android (with Android Auto). It does not require a user account.

Local data

The app saves station names and URLs, favorites, their order, the selected station, volume and language preference on your computer. On Windows this data is kept in the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Radivelo folder, together with the time of the last update check and which update notices you have already seen. The app does not send these settings to the developer or sync them to the cloud itself. System backups depend on your macOS or Windows settings. Links may contain access tokens; do not share links intended only for you.

On the Mac, the clipboard is read only when you use the paste button. On Windows, Radivelo reads the clipboard when you use the paste button, click + or open the Link tab: if it holds a single web link, that link is filled in. Clipboard contents stay on your computer. The app does not request access to your microphone, location, contacts or documents.

Network connections

When you search for stations, Radivelo connects to Radio Browser. The service receives your IP address, app identification and query (country, search text and results page). When you listen, your computer connects directly to the selected station’s server and any servers it redirects to. Providers may see your IP address, connection time and technical request information and process them under their own policies. Some streams use unencrypted HTTP. The app does not record or export broadcasts; macOS or Windows may use temporary playback caches.

Radivelo has no developer-operated analytics or advertising SDK, account or user data collection server. This does not mean that independent radio or directory providers do not log access.

Clicking a web link opens your default browser. The provider’s terms and privacy policy apply to that website.

Updates

Radivelo is updated by the store you installed it from (App Store, Microsoft Store or Google Play). Older trial versions that could be downloaded from radivelo.com until October 2026 read a file with the latest version number from download.radivelo.com at most once a day; the server receives your IP address, the request time and the app identification. For these versions, license details and the trial start date are stored only on your computer.

Managing and retaining data

Remove stations with ⊖; this also removes their favorite status. Pause or quit the app to stop playback. Launch at login can be disabled in the app menu or in macOS or Windows settings. On Windows, uninstalling in Settings › Apps also deletes your stations and settings (the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Radivelo folder) and the launch-at-login entry. On the Mac, removing the app alone does not guarantee deletion of all system preferences and backups. For questions or data requests, use the publisher contact below.

This website and downloads

The radivelo.com website and the downloads on download.radivelo.com are hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) through Cloudflare Pages and R2. To deliver the site and files, protect against attacks, troubleshoot errors and maintain security, Cloudflare processes your IP address, request time, requested address and technical browser or app information. Data may also be processed outside the EU, including in the USA; Cloudflare participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and uses standard contractual clauses. For anonymous visit statistics (page views, country, device type and the referring page) the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not track visitors across other websites; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the site. The site contains no advertising or cookies; Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it detects a threat. iPhone and CarPlay

Radivelo for iPhone handles data the same way as on a computer: stations, favorites, order, song history and saved songs are stored on the iPhone; the app has no account, ads, analytics or server of its own. In CarPlay the car shows the list and player from the iPhone; the data stays on the iPhone. Siri requests (e.g. “Play … in Radivelo”) are processed by Apple under its own rules; Radivelo receives only the name of the station to play; if you have no saved station of that name, it looks the name up in the Radio Browser directory. The country for station suggestions comes from the iPhone’s region setting; location is not used. The app writes to the clipboard only when you choose Copy. If you pick your own picture as a station logo in Photos or Files, the app receives only that picture and stores it on the iPhone (it is not copied to other devices). Links to radivelo.com/add open Radivelo; for this, Apple occasionally reads the apple-app-site-association file from this site.

iCloud (from version 1.1)

If you are signed in to iCloud on the device, your stations, favorites and saved songs are kept in step across your Apple devices (iPhone, Mac, Apple TV) through your iCloud account. Apple stores this data under its own privacy policy; the developer has no access to it. There is no sync on Windows.

Android and Android Auto

Radivelo for Android handles data the same way as on other devices: stations, favorites, order, song history, saved songs and your own logo pictures are stored on the phone; the app has no account, ads, analytics or server of its own. It uses only the permissions for internet access, network state and background playback; it does not use location, contacts, the microphone or the camera. In Android Auto the car shows the list and player from the phone; the app downloads station logos for the car and keeps them in a cache on the phone. Voice requests (e.g. “Play … on Radivelo”) are processed by Google under its own rules; Radivelo receives only the search text and, if you have no saved station of that name, looks it up in the Radio Browser directory. The country for station suggestions comes from the phone’s language and region settings. The app reads the clipboard only when you tap the paste-link button and writes to it only when you choose Copy. You pick your own picture for a station logo yourself; the app receives only that picture. If Android backup is turned on, the system may store the app’s data in your Google account under Google’s rules. For an occasional rating request the app uses Google’s Google Play In-App Review interface; the rating is handled by Google.

Station logos and song history

From version 1.2, Radivelo shows station logos. The logo addresses come from the Radio Browser directory, and the images load directly from the servers that publish them; those servers receive your IP address and request details. For a station without a logo, the app asks the Radio Browser directory about once a week whether it knows the stream address or the station name; links with a user name, password or parameters are never sent. The history of recent songs sent by stations and the songs you save with the heart are kept only on your computer and are not sent anywhere; clear the history in the Song history window and remove a saved song with the heart. The song search buttons open Apple Music, Spotify or YouTube in your browser, where those services’ policies apply. Exporting the station list creates a file in the place you choose.

Purchases

You buy Radivelo on the App Store (Apple), in Microsoft Store (Microsoft) or on Google Play (Google). Payment, invoices and refunds are handled by the store, which processes your purchase details under its own privacy policy. We receive only aggregated sales reports from the stores, not your name, email address or payment details. The app has no license key and sends nothing to verify your purchase.

Your rights

Contact us below about processing or to exercise rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability where applicable. We rely on legitimate interests for site operation and security and for update checks; information in your messages is used to answer and handle your request. Messages are retained for as long as needed to handle the request and any related claims or legal obligations. You may complain to the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (ip-rs.si).
